Hard Drive Shortage Effecting System Availability
The flooding in Indonesia is having a chilling effect on the computer market place. About 1/3 of the hard drives for the world were manufactured in Indonesia. With most of the factories either underwater still or in the process of evaluating the losses, hard drive manufacturing capacity will impacted for at least the next six months. Prices for hard drives have nearly doubled in the last 90 days and system prices have tracked the hard drive price increases. Desktop and entry-level server availability is limited with most of the products going onto allocation. DeckerWright Corporation can not guarantee delivery dates for systems ordered this month.

Gmail accounts targets of Cyber Crime
There have been a rash of assaults on Gmail accounts in the past year, some more recently have affected some of our clients. In some cases the cyber criminals take either valuable or controversal e-mails for their illicit use. Another, more worrisome exploit has been the cyber criminals taking over a client’s Gmail account. In this event, the cyber criminal takes control of the e-mail account and sends out a solicitation to the contacts in the Gmail account. Hard Drive Shortage to affect PC Deliveries for year end
Recent rain storms affecting Thialand will have an impact on desktop and laptop availability in the fourth quarter of this year. About half the hard drives used in the world are manufactured in Thialand. The plants had to be closed due to flooding and are scheduled to be offline for at least several weeks. The result will be a hard drive shortage that will affect product availability between now and the end of the year. Get your orders in early to ensure you get the computers you need!
